Poker Run – Sunday, October
21 beginning at 9:30 am
This is the fourth year for
this fun-filled fundraiser. Each year it gets better as we recognize our
former Board member by naming it the Angela Beller Hoffman Poker Run in her
honor.
As many as 104 entries will be accepted. The first vehicle
leaves at 11am and time doesn’t matter as this is a challenge of following
directions and drawing the best poker hand along the way.
Cash prizes are based on registration levels. In addition,
there will be a $500 prize to whoever draws a Royal Flush. Plus $50 is
added to your prize if you win after pre-registering.

The theme will be “The Drive to Angela’s House 2007.” All
Poker Run proceeds and money collected from raffles, shirts sales, and
drawings will go toward the Angela’s House project (see the link on home
page).
Pre-registration begins August 15. Details and an
application and payment procedure will be posted that day.
On the horizon . . .
Blindconnect has been working with a broad-based Stakeholders
group to establish the Angela’s House blindness skills training center.
Committees are working on marketing, fundraising, program, facility, and
outreach. Blindconnect is currently preparing grant requests for this
project.
It is anticipated that Angela’s House will open in 2008. |
